Emergency

Maybe you aren't quite ready for a complete examination and treatment. You have a specific problem that you need looked at and addressed. Perhaps you have a toothache, bleeding gums, or a broken tooth. Just call the office and we promise to make some time for you on the same day that you call in most cases. At that appointment, we will do an examination and take the appropriate films to diagnose and recommend necessary treatment. We may recommend a new filling, root canal, extraction, gum treatment, or crown. In some cases, the treatment can be done that day. In other cases, we may need to refer you to the appropriate specialist or place a temporary filling and schedule you on another day when we have sufficient time to do the best quality treatment possible. In either case, we will do everything possible to get you out of pain that day.

Preventative

Prevention of dental disease and the resulting problems is one of our primary goals. We strive to create an environment in our patient's mouths that is free from disease and to instill the desire in the minds of our patients to keep it in that condition. We accomplish this by doing thorough examinations and taking the appropriate films (radiographs), then recommending treatment specific to your needs: which may include, regular cleaning, deep-scaling and root-planing, in our office or at home fluoride treatment, effective oral oral hygiene techniques and appliances, or wisdom tooth extraction. We want you to have a lifetime of dental health.

Maintaing Your Teeth and Gums

Even with our best effort and your diligent home care, we cannot prevent everything that happens to teeth. In most cases, it is best to maintain the natural tooth and its corresponding supporting root, bone and gum structures. Whether it's uncontrollable dental disease, accidental trauma, or just long term wear and deterioration, we have a wide variety of treatment options available; including nitrous oxide sedation, pre-treatment medication, traditional metal fillings, white composite fillings, composite bonding, treatment for sensitive teeth, inlays and onlays, root canal treatment, post placement, metal and all porcelain crowns, and gum tissue re-contouring.

Cosmetic

Maybe your mouth and teeth are in good health. You don't have any dental disease and nothing is broken or missing. But you feel it could still use a little improvement. Maybe the natural effects of time have taken their toll and you want to regain your youthful smile. You want other people to look at you and say out loud, "Wow, you have a beautiful smile." You want the brightest, whitest, most incredible smile possible. We offer a variety of cosmetic procedures to enhance and liven any smile; including, in office bleaching, at home bleaching, reshaping and re-contouring, minor orthodontic treatment, gum repositioning, composite veneers, porcelain veneers, natural looking all porcelain crowns.

We believe your teeth and your smile can make or break careers and interpersonal relationships. It is important for you to look and feel your best. An extraordinary and beautiful smile can make you feel better about yourself.

Replacement

Sometimes a tooth is lost due to trauma or occasionally it cannot be restored and needs to be extracted. Replacing missing teeth is usually recommended to prevent further problems and to provide optimum dental health. Replacement could include a permantently cemented bridge, and implant supported crown or bridge, a removable partial denture, a removable full denture, or even an implant supported denture. The best possible treatment varies in each situation and requires careful treatment planning and discussion of the patient's desires and wishes

Children

Every child, as well as most adults, has a fear of the unknown. We can also feel very anxious and afraid in any situation where we don't have control: this can contribute to a feeling of helplessness. We do not want to increase their level of natural anxiety during any visit.

Children must have a positive dental experience from the very beginning. They should be treated with respect and understanding and talked to on their level with respect to their age and emotional development. With this in mind, a child's very first visit to our office is called a "Happy Visit". At this visit, we introduce them to the various sights and sounds associated with a dental office in a very nonthreatening and fun manner. We let the child dictate the amount of information and experiences they can handle during a particular visit. We bring them along as slowly or as quickly as they feel comfortable. Only after establishing trust and mutual understanding, can we proceed to the next level of treatment.

Treatment for children includes educating them about good diet and home care, preventative fluoride and sealants, thorough cleanings, discussion of possible orthodontic (braces) treatment needs, traditional metal as well as white composite fillings, a playroom that contributes a fun, relaxed, and kid-friendly environment, nitrous-oxide sedation if necessary, and painless injections when cavities need to be filled or primary teeth need to be extracted. All treatment is delivered by a staff who loves children and enjoys working with them. We strive to build a positive attitude towards dentistry for every child that comes into our office. Going to the dentist can be and should be fun for kids of all ages.
