Dental BridgesAn Overview

A dental bridge can be used to replace one or more consecutive missing teeth. Traditionally a dental bridge is secured to adjacent teeth. However, for a more secure solution, a dental bridge can be anchored using dental implants. A dental bridge can be a comfortable, long-lasting solution for patients who are missing teeth.

Replacing missing teeth can prevent further damage to your gums, jaw, and existing teeth. If left untreated, missing teeth can lead to further tooth loss, gum disease, infection, and bone recession. A dental bridge can restore function and stability back to your smile.

Altamonte Springs, FL dentists Drs. Clay Miller, Kirk Solberg, and Mark Williams offer a full range of restorative dentistry options, including dental bridges. Our dental team incorporates the use of state of the art technology, modern treatments, and personalized treatment planning to deliver a natural looking, beautiful result. We will evaluate the condition of your smile and discuss your lifestyle habits and cosmetic goals as part of treatment planning in order to recommend the most suitable tooth replacement option.

Whenever possible, we will recommend dental implants and implant supported bridges to replace lost teeth. Implants offer several key benefits for the overall health and long term appearance of your smile. Functioning like natural teeth, dental implants also serve to replace the lost tooth root to reduce bone loss and stabilize your jaw structure.

Most friendly staff, Hygienist & Dentist. I will never go back to a chain group again (if it can be avoided). I certainly feel like part of the family here. Reminds me of my childhood dentist visits. 😊 I'll be bringing my mom for an appt soon!Michelle Grace
Dr. Williams was able to accommodate my schedule with a same day consultation and both him and his team were very thorough with the process. Its obvious he's very knowledgeable and experienced. I trust him with my mothers new smileNatasha Satchwell
Great office and staff! Everyone makes you feel like family there, and they’re really kind. My family and I have been seeing Dr. Solberg for many many years, and he has never tried to do some expensive long range plan, but has always tried to watch costs. In addition to…Donald Love
It's the most compassionate and professional dentistry I've ever seen, from admins to techs and docs. Both Drs. Solberg and Miller are highly trained yet very personable. The office is homey, but their equipment is state of the art. Consequently, I've been going here with my family for 17 years,…Remo Eyal

Dental Bridges What to Expect

After a thorough examination, we will help you make an informed decision about your missing teeth replacement option. Our team of dentists can create a treatment plan based on each patient’s dental needs and goals.

Types Of Dental Bridges

  • Removable Dental Bridge– Removable dental bridges are often recommended as a temporary solution for missing teeth. Removable dental bridges are less expensive than other tooth replacement options like a secured dental bridge or dental implants. If a patient has a removable dental bridge, our dental team can work with you to find a permanent solution for missing teeth.
  • Fixed Dental Bridge– A fixed dental bridge offers a more stable and comfortable solution for patients with one or more consecutive missing teeth. A fixed dental bridge can be secured by teeth or dental implants. If patients desire a more stable solution for missing teeth, an implant secured dental bridge may be the right solution.  An implant secured dental bridge prevents further jaw bone deterioration and tooth loss. Our team of dentists can work with patients to determine if an implant secured dental bridge is right for them.

If an implant secured dental bridge is the chosen replacement options, our team can perform the surgical aspect of the treatment in our Central, Florida dental office. After the placement of dental implants, the healing process will take anywhere from 3-6 months, so patients will receive a temporary restoration while their dental implants fuse into the jaw bone. Once healed, patients will receive their customized dental bridge.
