Inlays & Onlays What to Expect
Our experienced team will perform a full dental exam to determine whether a dental onlay or dental inlay is right for you. Depending on the specific case, we can use CERAC technology to create a custom fit dental inlay or dental onlay. Once your restoration is fabricated, we will carefully cement them into place during your visit.
- Inlay– An inlay can be used to address moderate tooth decay on the surface of the teeth. Inlays are often sued to address tooth decay that is too advanced for a dental filling. The goal is to preserve as much as the natural tooth as possible. Inlays can be custom designed to match with your existing teeth for a natural looking result.
- Onlay– Onlays are often referred to as a partial crown. Onlays can address damage in the cusps of the tooth. Onlyas are considered a less expensive alternative to a dental crown.
